I love both Cobra Starship and Leighton Meester. Do underground clubs with deli fronts really exist? It reminded me a lot of that part from Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Leighton doesn’t really stand still long enough for me to see clearly, but from what I can tell, I don’t think I like her makeup — it’s a huge black triangle painted on each eyelid. Music videos with a ton of people at some kind of rave are a dime a dozen, and I had expected to see more “bad” behavior than just dancing in a crowded room. The ending is interesting, I suppose, but not very clear.
There are a couple of Gossip Girl references, such as the texting and Leighton’s buddy, who resembles Poppy from season 2. Were those intentional, I wonder? And is Leighton really trying to make a career out of singing? She’s not bad, but I really hope she doesn’t give up acting.
